These wooden toggle buttons were created by my husband Jeff in mahogany wood. Not only is this wood gorgeous, it has a really fun story behind it. This mahogany came from a JC Penney store in Seattle that was built in the 1930's. When they tore out the wood floors, these pieces were salvaged. The back sides Jeff left as they were, so they have the original finish. The fronts and edges he sanded. With all the sanding and polishing he does to bring out the beauty of the wood, these buttons are so smooth, you'll love the way they feel. All that sanding and polishing also makes the wood glow. Pictured with grey yarn, these toggles would pair nicely with many different colors. They are handmade, so each button is unique.

~Care Instructions~ Care for these buttons as you would wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them. Oiling them will keep your buttons beautiful and protect them from drying out.
