These wooden buttons were created by my husband Jeff in diamond willow wood. We love the warm, deeper hue in the center, surrounded by lighter. I also love the natural bark edges of these branch buttons, which bring even more contrast to the beautiful colors.

Feel the smooth wood with your fingers, and see how many rings of growth you can count. Jeff sands and polishes the buttons so smooth, you'll love the way they feel. All the sanding and polishing also brings out the beauty of the wood, and makes it glow.

*This particular set of buttons has gone through a process to keep the bark on. A note from Jeff: "A lot of folks like the look of buttons with the bark still on them, but this isn't possible with most woods because the bark will come off right away. So I came up with a method of adhering the bark with a special inert (non-toxic) adhesive that permeates the bark then holds it to the main wood. Any adhesive on the surface of the button is then sanded and polished off. This gives a really nice look especially with Hemlock and Sassafras."

~Care Instructions~ Care for these buttons as you would wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them. Oiling them will keep your buttons beautiful and protect them from drying out.
