*This set of buttons is discounted because there were some bug holes in the wood. It's part of the character of these buttons, but still- we are discounting them a bit
These wooden buttons were created by my husband Jeff in buckthorn wood. Can you believe the gorgeous yellow hue? This wood is naturally this bright yellow color, and I just adore it. The bright, joyful yellow of these buttons will add cheer to creative projects!
This buckthorn wood came from the Midwest, where it can be invasive. I love the natural bark edges of these. Jeff sands and polishes the buttons so smooth, you'll love the way they feel. All the sanding and polishing also brings out the beauty of the wood, and makes it glow.
So much love goes into making these buttons for you to enjoy on your special, creative projects!
Measurements: All around 1 inch wide.

*This particular set of buttons has gone through a process to keep the bark on. A note from Jeff: "A lot of folks like the look of buttons with the bark still on them, but this isn't possible with most woods because the bark will come off right away. So I came up with a method of adhering the bark with a special inert (non-toxic) adhesive that permeates the bark then holds it to the main wood. Any adhesive on the surface of the button is then sanded and polished off. This gives a really nice look especially with Hemlock and Sassafras."

Beautiful wood + lots of sanding + natural oil finish + polishing on the buffing wheel + a whole lotta love = some gorgeous buttons for your special projects.
~Care Instructions~ Care for these buttons as you would wool: hand wash garment in cool water and lay flat to dry. If the wood should dry out from washing, a little walnut oil (or other natural oil) on a soft cloth works well to moisturize them. Oiling them will keep your buttons beautiful and protect them from drying out.
