These earrings were created by my husband Jeff in Oregon Myrtlewood. This type of Myrtlewood is special in that it only grows in southern Oregon and northern California, along the coast. According to folklore, it is said to bring prosperity. Myrtlewood has so much variety in the hue and grain, and is such a beautiful wood. This batch had beautiful stripes in the grain. It also takes such a shine! Some pieces are almost like stones, and can look like Tiger's Eye.

Jeff created this gorgeous tree design, which I adore. He sanded these earrings and burned his original tree design onto each one. Jeff sands and polishes the earrings so smooth, you'll love the way they feel. All the sanding and polishing also brings out the beauty of the wood, and makes it glow. He puts so much love into creating these unique works of art for people to enjoy wearing!

(Many of our earrings are surprisingly lightweight, even in the denser woods. If you are looking for our most lightweight earrings, the smaller size earrings and earrings in cedar wood are a good option.) These earrings come on sterling silver plated ear wires.
